Léman International Academy first opened its doors in Geneva in September 2010, in an exceptional setting which is both quiet and close to the city center.
While Geneva has a number of major international schools, some with several thousand students mainly from the expatriate community, we have chosen to develop a school:
- which is inviting to both the local and expatriate communities
- which provides a truly bilingual French/English curriculum
- which allows for a wide choice of secondary education options
- which is grounded in Christian values
- which values its small classes (15 students maximum).
Our mission
“The mission of LIA is to challenge students with quality academics and character development in an immersive bilingual and Christian value-based environment.”

Our team
The realisation of this mission is fundamentally linked to our team of faculty and non-teaching support staff, all key players at LIA. This is the foundation on which our quality of service is based, both during teaching and non-teaching hours.
Every team member who works with the children, be it in the classroom, the cafeteria or the before- and after-school programs, is guided by a shared attitude of care for our students’ well-being.
LIA Board of Directors
Based in Geneva, our own board of directors brings together local partners, members of the international community, parents of LIA students, and representatives from TeachBeyond. Our school board functions under the aegis of TeachBeyond Switzerland.
